Promoting Smooth Transitions with Peer Group Connection (PGC) Mentoring Program

The Peer Group Connection (PGC) mentoring program assists ninth-grade students in transitioning to high school by training 11th & 12th Grade Peer Leaders to provide support. The program aims to strengthen peer and school connections, leading to decreased dropout rates, improved grades, and reduced bullying. The initiative fosters a nurturing school environment and plans to bridge the gap between Lower and Upper Classmen. Peer Leaders offer guidance and support to help new students navigate high school successfully, fostering a sense of community and improving academic performance.
