Dear Families,

Welcome to the Metropolitan Soundview High School website.  Our hope is to create a space where you are able to obtain up-to-date information about our school, PSAL, extracurricular activities, and events.   This website along with our FaceBook and Instagram pages are places where you can remain informed about everything Metro Sound.

The Metropolitan Soundview High School is a special place where students are supported in their academic and personal development.  Through our College and Career S.T.E.A.M focus, scholars are able to explore career opportunities in Science, technology, Digital Art/Graphic Design, and Mathematics.   MSHS is a small learning community doing great things.  Metro Sound scholars are able to participate in a diverse offering of Advanced Placement courses, and elective courses connected to career pathways in science, art, and technology in addition to opportunities in college exploration. 

The success of our school is attributed to the culture of care and high expectations cultivated among our teachers, staff, and students.  Being a member of a small learning community means that every scholar is known and able to establish relationships with the school community.  Our teacher teams meet weekly to design learning experiences that are rigorous, relevant, and engaging.  In grade 9 all students participate in Peer Group Connection, a student-led advisory program where upperclassmen mentor and support students transition to high school.  Through this program and our instructional model, all MSHS students become active members of our community.
